Welcome, RMHS Families

The Reading Memorial High School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is open to all RMHS parents and guardians. We work in partnership with school leadership and staff to support student learning, strengthen our school community, and provide financial and advisory support where it is needed most.

We invite you to explore our site, attend our quarterly meetings, and become an active part of the RMHS community.

RMHS PTO The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is open to all RMHS parents and guardians and provides the school with much needed financial and advisory support. The PTO meets quarterly and depends on your participation to discuss vital school issues and raise funds for student programs.

Please join us at the quarterly PTO meetings this year held from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the RMHS Library.

Meeting Dates 2026-2027:

  • October 26, 2026
  • January 7, 2027
  • March 16, 2027
  • May 11, 2027

Meeting agendas generally include featured speakers, timely topics, and updates from both the school and the PTO. Information about meetings and other activities will be posted on:

The RMHS PTO is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to supporting students, staff, and school initiatives. Through fundraising, communication, and collaboration, we help fund critical programs, materials, and events that enrich the high school experience.

What We Do

    The RMHS PTO is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all dues and donations are tax-deductible. Your generosity directly supports programs that benefit our students, teachers, and school community throughout the year.

    Thanks to PTO dues and community donations, we have recently been able to fund:

    • All new tables with power outlets on Main Street
    • Student agenda books
    • New stools for the library
    • Class account donations
    • Funding for after-school RMHS library hours
    • Books and materials for the library/media center
    • Enrichment programs and guest speakers
    • Scholarships for graduating seniors
    • Staff appreciation events
    • Outdoor picnic tables for lunch
    • Ceiling fans for the 4th floor
    • Unity Day support
    • Homecoming support

    Your generosity directly benefits RMHS students and staff. Thank you for making these projects possible.

    PTO Dues

    The PTO is a 501(c)(3) organization and dues are tax-deductible.

    We are happy to accept additional donations or matching gifts from your employer.

    Annual Suggested Contribution:

    • $50 per family (not per student) You may donate more or less — this is simply a recommended starting point.
